Long Term Visa Pass LTVP

Long Term Visa Pass LTVP

A Malaysian Long-Term Visa Pass (LTVP) is a renewable permit granted to spouses or family members of Employment Pass (EP) holders who wish to reside in Malaysia for more than six months, up to a maximum of five years. This visa is also referred to as a Malaysian Spouse Visa.

Eligibility for a Long-Term Visa Pass (LTVP) include:

  • The foreign national spouse of a Malaysian citizen.
  • Foreign nationals seeking medical treatment in Malaysia (permitted one companion).
  • Family members of foreign national Employment Pass (EP) holders, including:
  • Common-law spouse
  • Unmarried children over 21
  • Parents or parents-in-law

It is important to note that family members of Employment Pass (EP) holders with LTVP documents are not permitted to work in Malaysia. Should they seek employment, they must apply for a separate Employment Pass and follow the required procedures.

However, spouses of Malaysian citizens do not need to convert their LTVP into an Employment Pass (EP). Instead, they will receive an Endorsement to Work document in their passport from the Malaysian Immigration Department at no cost.

OOC GROUP TECH SDN BHD assists with the consultation and application process for the relevant LTVP procedures.
