Sarawak EP or PVP
Work Visa for Foreigner and Malaysian (Non- Sarawakian) to work in Sarawak

If you’re not a Sarawakian and wish to work in Sarawak, including foreigners, West Malaysians, and Sabahans, there are two types of work visas available for application:

  • Professional Pass (Visa duration: 6-12 months): 
    a. Intended for internship, training, or technical support purposes only.
    b. Holders are not permitted to receive a salary while in Sarawak.
  • Employment Pass (Visa duration: 1-2 years):
    a. Applicants must be at least 27 years old.
    b. Two categories available: EP1 and EP2.
    c. EP1 salary requirement: RM5,000 or above per month.
    d. EP2 salary requirement: RM3,500 to RM4,999 per month.
    e. EP1 holders are eligible to apply for dependent visas for spouses and children, as well as domestic worker visas for maids.
    f. Renewable for up to 10 years.
