Is a certificate for construction workers who have undergone safety courses & training at construction sites issued by the Malaysian Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB). Every construction worker (local/foreign) MUST have a valid Green Card in accordance with Section 33, CIDB Act 520.
For information, effective from 15 October 2019, CIDB Malaysia introduced a new Construction Personnel Registration Smart Card that has been upgraded in line with technological progress.
Effective from 20 July 1995, it is mandatory for all local contractors to register with the Malaysian Construction Industry Development Board (LPIPM) or CIDB under Section 25 of act 520 (Amendment 2011) before undertaking and completing any construction work in Malaysia except those given exemption under Section 40(1) of the Malaysian Construction Industry Development Board Act 1994 (Act 520).
Any contractor who violates Section 25 when convicted can be fined not less than RM10,000 under Section 29.
